Yes last three boat are Nitro and never had any problems. Like anything else good and bad in all makes and models.

OP Champion71 Angler C Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 390 dallas	Thanks to everyone for the input. After a long search, I bought a boat today. I found a 2000 HAWK 2100 DC w/ a 99 225 merc optimax. I pick it up in about a week after the new electronics are installed.

After tax, title, licences you're at $13; buy decent electronics-add $2K; outfit with some needed stuff and get the motor checked out (with new impeller), add another $1K. So the $12K boat is now $16K for a "99"
