Dilly dilly. I’ll take a three first round picks for Jerry. The franchise that gets Jerry will generate more media attention and revenue while he lives (prayers)…but he’s officially an older than old with lots of Blue and other running through his veins.

Re: Any one know how the Bass fishing is at Limestone

I think its a pretty decent bass lake with a lot of 3-6 pound bass right now. It's also an incredible catfish and crappie lake. Best part about the lake is normally there are not many boats on the lake and you have it pretty much to yourself. It does have a lot of stumps (and big ones) but there is now a solution for that as Tom Mayne has released running lanes for the lake. https://www.tommayneguidelanes.com/

Been working on streamlining the popper part of the Popper-Dropper to reduce the tangled mess a two fly rig can create.. Also.. Big fly = Big Bass and an old sore right arm But it's worth the effort!

Re: Best home made bait for carp ??
Bites and Strikes
04/24/24 02:46 AM
Plain bread crumbs, sweet corn, and jello has caught me hundreds of common carps, grass carps and buffalos. Sometimes I swap out the bread crumbs for plain oatmeal if I want to make a 3 gallon bucket of bait. If I'm fishing a small creek, pond or bayou I'll just use white bread balled on a hook or just some corn on a hook. For bigger rivers and lakes I use the pack baits.

This stuff worked very well for the robins building a nest under my porch. It’s still there after 2 years and no birds since then.

Re: 30yard plus cast with round baitcaster

If you can cast without backlashing that is good. A good distance depends on where you are fishing. In some of my favorite spots I only cast 20 feet. The rod has a great deal to do with how far you can cast. And you can add more weight if you need to cast further. Keep practicing and let us know how you do.
