I've never seen a plug-in dolly. That would be cool! All the ones I've seen are battery powered and in the $1000+ range. Can you find out more about it? I've got a buddy that has a electric dolly. He just plugs it in with an extension cord and punches the boat in the garage. It works great and I've seen him use it enough that I would buy one if needed.

Pile on Mr. Waldschmidt! The other garage isn't deep enough and if I have help, I can get it into the 3rd stall no problem. After 4 months of looking, merely finding one deep enough was success enough. My brother helps when he goes, but no solo trips... I've already gotten vetoed for option #2. So you spent months looking for a house with a garage deep enough to fit the boat, and didn't think about the fact that you wouldn't be able to swing the boat into said garage?
Two options.
Move your sports car to the hard to get to garage.
Or tear up the landscaping and lay some more driveway, giving easier access to the third garage.

Have a really nice 4-wheeler at another property, just don't have any room to store it here where the boat is. I can get it close with the truck, then line it up and winch it. But I still can't get my brain wrapped around NOT yanking the winch out of the floor or wall when the tires hit the garage bump. If you want to try to mount a winch in your garage, you could mount it to the wall somehow (probably will need to retro fit something for additional support) or you could use wedge anchors and mount it to the floor- I would assume the boat would have to be positioned somewhat in line with the garage for the winch to work- You can buy a pretty good used four wheeler for $2500-

Cut you a 2x4 at an angel to create you a little ramp that you can just lay down in front of the lip. That lip should not be more than 1-2".

They engineer out just fine to anchor a large building so they shouldn't have any trouble with a boat. If done right they wont' ever pull out, assuming your slab is good.

There you go- Mount the winch to the floor, rig up a strap in a v to each side of your trailer and get to crankin-

Is an epoxy anchor as simple as drilling a hole, cleaning it out and squirting epoxy and the anchor in the hole? I'd need a concrete bit and the anchor right? Something a doofus could do? Slab is good, but has a treatment over it, not bare concrete. Masonry bit, drill, anchor, epoxy- After you set the anchor(or anchors)you will have basically a bolt sticking in the air- I know northern tool, or harbour frieght both have some cheaper winches, Or you could use a come-a-long or even a boat winch for that matter- What I don't know is if you will need to build some type of base for it- I know some of the electric winches have a mount that could probably be used- There has to be someone in Strawn Texas that could help- I might for dinner at Mary's- Ha ha

Put a hitch on the front of your truck. I will just about guarantee you putting the boat up at any angle will be a snap. I used to have to knife mine about 80 degrees and could not do it backing. With a hitch on the front I could put the boat anywhere I needed.
Retirement best job ever.

Wedge-it concrete anchors would be plenty strong enough bolted to the garage slab. You are only pulling the boat not lifting the boat. Buy some 1/2" diameter by 3 1/2" inch. Epoxy will work but will cost a little more, and you need to cure it. Don't use the cheap syringe type epoxy.

TexasHart... Grind that garage hump down to a taper in the areas where the tires would need the ramp into the garage. I have the same problem but I do manage even with a crew cab truck to back in a 21' boat with tandem axles, but ramping that hump will make it much easier.

Have had the same problem, but with storage in the Birminghan area..Having to pay$300,a month to keep mine in storage..Found a 12-30,storage to keep it in for $100,a month, but has a 1 ft lip..tried building a ramp, with 3/4 inch plywood, reinforced with 2 by 6's..Broke on first try..Also,messed up my surge brakes..Pain in the arse...Can't. Believe there arent any storage, here with all the boats..
