I need a way to put my boat in the garage by myself. With two people we un-hook it and muscle it into the garage. I can't by myself. Thinking of installing a winch in the floor of the garage to get it in there. No, I can't back it in with my vehicle. The length of the truck and the final angle into the garage make it impossible. Any ideas or similar solutions?

Thanks,

Jason

Don't have a lawn tractor and I thought about a dolly, but don't think I have enough power to get it going up-hill and over the hump at the door. Maybe 20 years ago, but not now...

Can you add a front trailer hitch to your truck to get a better angle?

They make a lot of power dollies for moving travel trailers and boats. Some are electric and some are gas. They all are fairly expensive, but will last forever and are very easy to use. Something like this.

Does the dolly make that much difference over the wheel on the boat winch? I can get it rolling on the boat winch wheel, but CANNOT come close to getting the trailer tires over the door hump.

Wife drives the truck daily, and said that's a no-go. "Too Ugly".

I am assuming you have a single axle trailer. Tandem adds a whole other set of problems.

Get a piece of plywood or two to use as ramps to get over the ledge.

Is this a single or dual axle trailer?

$1000 would cause much more harm than good. Sure my boat would be in the garage, but I'd be divorced then too...

Single Axle Trailer. 2010 Triton 19' Aluminum w/ 135 Optimax.

When I say I can get it rolling, I mean a snails pace after almost enduring a stroke. If left alone, the boat and trailer would shoot into the street.

Is your garage in an alley? There's got to be a way to get it in there with the truck

It's in a third garage stall which faces the street and is perpendicular to the other garage. Crew-Cab Ford can't make turn into the garage, can't even get the boat lined up because of landscaping and narrow entry to the parking 'area'.
