I agree with this man here.Plubicity ruined Choke canyon and its going to do the same to Falcon .What happens at Falcon should stay in the boat people preserve it while we can.

I would gather to say that 1 in 5 of the guys that go down there have the kind of trip that some describe and post here and many go there expecting to have, the other 4 get a swift kick in the nuts and come home $500+ lighter in the wallet!
I would love to see a poll or honest thread about how many people went to Falcon and thought it was below expectations. I'm willing to bet you are right. I've had about 50% GREAT trips and about 50% average to below average trips. After the latter ones, I must admit, I did not get on the TFF and say to the world "I just went to Falcon - and it sucked!"

Well guys....fishing today was VERY slow. Water temp this morning was 58.5 but warmed up to around 63 this afternoon. Couldn't buy a bite this morning, and only caught 2 fish this afternoon.
However....
The first fish I caught on this lake SHATTERED my personal best (by more than three pounds)!! My very first Lake Falcon bass weighed 11.15 lbs....and I am still in awe of the entire situation. I am at the hotel now, but will post pics when I get home Thursday. She was 27" long and 21" around. The only other fish I caught this evening was around 4 lbs.

U just ignore the other boat and come on inn. After I caught a 5lbr today at the dam, I about jumped out of my skin when a guy in another boat came in 10' from us and said "nice fish". My wife said she watched him fly over to us when he saw me catch that one. I thought people were exaggerating about this, but I witnessed it first hand today. We were ready to leave so we just left him to it.
Like me for what I am, or don't like me at all.

The thing nobody is talking about are the 20 foot alligators that infest the lake. At least 10 fisherman have met their demise and who knows how many Mexicans working the gil nets have found the same fate. If you're planning a trip cancel and call everyone you know to warn them and get them to cancel as well. Whew, glad I got that off my chest.

I would be interested to see how many of the "below expectations" anglers spent all of their time on the US side of the lake, and ALSO how many of those were first trips to the lake. Our first time there we struggled for two days, and figured something out the 3rd. Since then I've never had a bad trip... There is certainly a lot of unproductive water in that lake though Also, a lot of people "expect" to catch 50+ fish and a DD, even if they've never put a 25 lb sack together in their lives.

I just wish another lake like that would get discovered a little closer to Ft Worth!! Falcon is awesome and the folks that live within a couple of hours drive are very fortunate to have that place in your back yard I can't wait to get back down there!!!

There is no bass in Falcon.Everyone pack up and head somewhere else. All the crowds you see are cat fisherman!!

I took a guy out last week. We had 32lbs and 40 fish. He says he was expecting more from the lake and was not satisfied........ I said tell me the last time you had 32lbs in your life.

I could be wrong, but I think the 39.04% is just Texas' share.
