I really dont think kens email should have been leaked. He would post when he is ready. If another trail gives a [censored] about the dates a meeting should have taken place before any posts.
Theres more to get turnouts then posting a few a dates.

It takes a tremendous amount of time to run one of these tournament trails. Many times, it is necessary to get permits from the COE or other guvment entity and other functions may have parks already booked. So it is not as easy as just changing a date.

Sponsors are nice but without participation of teams, it is difficult to get sponsors. Sponsors want there products exposed to a lot of people. Sponsorships are usually paid from advertising budgets. Budgets are made a year in advance. So, usually you just don't cold call a sponsor and get positive results that year.

Tournaments need maximum exposure with flyers/advertising well in advance (months not weeks) & communication with other tourney trails to prevent same day tournaments when possible and to allow folks ample lead time to plan vacation requests, etc. Increased participation increases payouts too!

Then you have the gatherings...this is where the comraderie is born. Where friendships are made, fine food is shared, lies swapped & knowledge is traded. Different equipment is seen and maybe your sponsors can sell some products.

Yep, it takes a lot of work/time to grow these tourney trails and make them successful!

Again my hat is off to Ken and John for the hard work they put into providing the catfish industry with Tournament options!

It's better to worry about to many than non at all!

Maybe after we get the schedule confirmed, we can help by printing it out and posting some around the lakes that are on the schedule, I can post around Ray Bob, maybe Gary can Post them around Tawokoni, and Bob or Ryan can post them around Eagle Mountain, and you can post it around your home lake, Somebody should post the schedule in Cabellas, and Bass Pro Shop, Olsens, and your local tackle shops, if we get the word out maybe we can get some of the locals to come like Tom said, a lot of catfishermen never heard of the Texas Fishing Forum, but some will probably fish the tournements if they know about it!!!

We are members too and I think this will help get the attendance up, and I think Ken would appreciate the help!!!

They have grown and grown fast so their club club can it proves to me it can spread if you all help Have meetings and get special guys come and speak and look at how they are doing it.
