Back when I had a boat I went 90% of the time alone. Heck, nobody wanted to go.

Now that I have moved here I go 100% of the time alone and on the bank, but I still fish most everyday.

Agreed. Plus, my boat is tiny so any additional rods/gear/bodies annoy me.

One of the biggest reasons I fish is because I often get to do it alone. My son got me into it originally and he and I still fish together alot. But what I look forward to more than anything is those 8-10 hour saturdays with no one to talk to but the fish. I find fish to be great company...they listen to everything you say, they never talk back and no matter what you say they just stare in open mouth wonder!

That's great!

I like fishing alone just fine, but mostly I go with my fishing buddy Greg and sometimes with my wife and I like that fine too! With someone else along it helps in figuring out the fish by having more baits being thrown.

Very nice HD...

I noticed your son wearing the inflatable Life jacket..what age do they have to be to start wearing one of those? I fish with my son all of the time and would like to get him one of those.

thanks,

Rodney

I fish 95% of my tournaments solo, I don't have to worry about the back-seater, especially if he is prone to get hung-up!

I fish by myself a lot, only because when I have someone in the back of the boat I feel like Im cutting them off or keeping them out of the "fishing" area. Having been front ended by several people when was younger, I guess has me a lil bit gun shy.

I mainly fish by myself so that I have to make the descision of what to do or where to go because it makes you think, there's no crutch to fall back on, its all on you. Do or Die so to speak. But I do enjoy fishing with other people cause it makes those long days when the fish aren't biting a lot more enjoyable.

I'm kind of like Hunter's Dad. My 6 years old son fishes with me. If I went without him, he would think I was punishing him. I would probably fish more by myself during the week if I could sneak on the water without him. He and his little brother and mother get home later than I do and I am missing a lot of good fishing time. I like to fish alone but I also like being there when my family gets home, helping with home work, getting eveybody fed and baths and ready for bed. The summer is not that far away and things will change when schools out.

I will fish alone if I want to catch a nice fish or I will take my wife. I bought her a nice camera to play with when she is not fishing so between fishing and photography I can get about 5 hours with her in the boat.

99% of the time, when I am on my boat, someone else is with me... or multiple someone else's... but, there's nothing like being out there all by my lonesome with a cold drink, the radio down low, and the fish biting. I like going to spots that I haven't tried before when I'm by myself... there's nobody in the back seat to say "There's no way you're going to catch fish here", or "Why are we wasting our time here when we could be in our honey hole???" No pressure to perform... just get out there and cast and wind, over and over.

I fish by myself about 2/3 of the time. I would rather have a back seat but only if he/she knows what they're doing. Some of my best friends suck at bass fishing and wonder why they don't get invited to go laugh
