Lakeside in Duncanville is still producing quality trout. Went there yesterday and caught my limit again. Smallest was about 12 inches.

Anyone go to Frisco? How big are the trout they stocked?

Four of us went to towne lake today. The kids had to keep the first five they caught for the tourney, they both had 3rd place trophys, one for big fish and one for little fish. We caught about 50 overall and the 10 that the adults kept were about 12" with the exception of two smaller fish that we gill hooked and decided to keep vs. waste...

Anyone having any luck at Canyon Trailrace,Blanco state park or E. metro park in Manor? Thinking about heading out with the family tomorrow just looking for the best hole. Thanks guys

Took my son in law and two of my grandkids to the trout derby today at Towne Lake. They were both able to catch their first trout ever. Then they got to clean their first fish ever. We had a great day fishing and my wife and her daughter came out to take pictures for us and support the kids. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Nice fish TexasSteve! Was at the Trout Derby, too. A lot of fun but was missing a lot of them on the hookset. A lot of limits were being taken.... had to leave before the Derby ended. Always hate leaving when they are biting!

Caught a few at towne lake this morning as well on powerbait and gold spinners. Lost both spinners near the net on the parking lot side, so watch out if you fish on that side there is a mean snag. Caught most of the fish straight out as far as I could cast.

There were two cormorant there today, so the good fishing days will be numbered...

So the net in town lake will be there for a while? to keep the trout in that small area?
Also, is there lots of grass on the bottom? I was at commons pond, there is lots of grass, every time I retrieve the line there is grass on my sink and hook, very annoying.

The nets will be left in towne lake for two weeks from yesterday. I have not found a lot of grass on the bottom. I know there are a few logs about half way out and a couple that are close to the east side of the lake in the large netted area.

Hi all. Lurked all last year and decided to join up.Heck of a fishing forum.
Went to Ablon Park Saturday morning and caught nothing. Couple other fishermen there catching the same thing.
I've seen several posts about City Park Lake in Mesquite and can add my .02. Went a couple times. Caught nothing and didn't see anyone catching anything.Doubt I'll return.
Really stinks about Samuel Farm not stocking this year.

ablon stocks again thursday. get out there by the weekend and fishing should be good

Stopped by Towne Lake yesterday for a couple of hours and quickly got my limit. Trout much smaller than Lakeside in Duncanville.
