Don't forget the 2 rod limit in community ponds though if the game warden visits. grin

Very true. However most of the time I have enough lil fisherpeople w/ me that I don't have to worry about that.

Last year, I had times where I out fished powerbait/etc 10 to 1 on superdupers, ha, people were buying my spare supers at 5 bucks, but the more time that passes the less they hit the lures. If you get there within a week of stocking, try lures and reel in slow.

Or go with the two pole route and do both.

Hope to see if anyone had luck today at City.

I was at Chisholm park when they stocked it this morning. I've tried Berkely trout bait, corn and worms with no results. Decided to throw a super duper and a panther martin for a while, nothing. So I'm back to power bait and corn on the bottom. I've only seen two caught so far. The two cormorants out here are even having a hard time catching them. I've only seen them catch 3 so far.

I was out at Chisholm with my three girls and a huge stroller this afternoon. Corn, yellow berkley, original super duper. Nada. One guy caught a baby bass.

Hurst is where I go when I need to get a quick fishing fix but cant make it to the lake. Hopefully will be able to catch some trout sometime this season. If not we will make a couple trips up to OK for some trout as well.

My son and I were out at Mesquite City Lake this afternoon. Trout were dropped right about noon and we fished for 2 1/2 hours along with a dozen other people on the banks and not a single catch. Probably just too soon after stocking.

no need for a special stamp. your freshwater license already covers it.

like others, i've tried soon after the stocking and wasted 3 hours freezing my rear off. stocked trout hits come in spurts but few and far between. kids usually get bored because the pace is so slow.

Hey that was me that caught that baby bass. Ended up catching another two on a white rooster tail. Never have done any good there for trout.
