Nice fish... definitely would be on my wall as well.
Heck, my dad had a 2 pound native brookie on his wall. Nothing wrong with that.
Make sure to post the mount on here when you get it back. Would love to see it.

Daaaaaaaaang man what a fish - I have had the honor to see browns that big in the Little Red but never the luck to actually hook into one. And just think - that's right at half the size of the current world record. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time. Here's a challenge for you - next time you catch one that big, do it on a flyrod.

This one is going on the wall...first trout I've ever kept. We do the whole catch and release thing with trout. I've actually felt a little guilty about keeping her but then I think about how cool the mount will be!!!!!
Thanks for all the nice words...it was pretty much all luck! If my fishing partner would not have been there I would have never landed it. He kept saying "quit fighting it!!!", I'd yell back "I know, I know...but keep telling me!!" Don't feel guilty. Everyone deserves at least one. I am with you on it going on the wall.

Boy that brings back memories. Heber Springs and The Little Red is where I started fishing when I was a boy. I still go back several times a year and fish with my Dada who still lives in Cabot, AR. There are some TOAD Browns in that river and some big Rainbows. That makes me want to get back....SOON!
Congrats on the catch.....beautiful fish!

Lobo Landing, went there last year on a trip. Very nice, can't make this years trip due to a separated shoulder.

From the pic, I do believe that brownie has some teeth or am I wrong?
