Todd is like a lot of us on here. He doesn't get to fish near as much as he'd like, do to work, trying to keep up with a four year old little buzzsaw named Travis and the usual family obligations. I'm happy for ya' buddy bud and hope you get to go again real soon! There'll be a seat open in my boat in a couple of weeks (crappie) when I take my vacation if you can find the time.

This one is going on the wall...first trout I've ever kept. We do the whole catch and release thing with trout. I've actually felt a little guilty about keeping her but then I think about how cool the mount will be!!!!!
Thanks for all the nice words...it was pretty much all luck! If my fishing partner would not have been there I would have never landed it. He kept saying "quit fighting it!!!", I'd yell back "I know, I know...but keep telling me!!" You shouldn't feel bad about keeping that trophy. When trout are caught on light line, the fight tends to take a long time and takes a lot out of the fish. It is then very hard to revive them so that they can be released. If you had released it, it would have been on the bottom of the river the next day. Enjoy the mount you get, it is a real trophy fish!! Congratulations!

That is a wallhanger for sure! I've been fishing for browns for over 30 yeras and never caught one that big! How was the fight?
