I'm new to the forum here and finally have something to post! This is a pic of my first Brown Trout caught 02-18-09 on the Little Red River in Heber Springs, AR. Measures 32" long, 20 1/2" girth and 20 3/4 lbs. We went to fly fish but due to high/fast water ended up bank fishing with ultralight spin cast. 6 lb. test line with shrimp and power bait!!!!!

i would mount that.biguns usually die after caught anyways . great catch, biggest rainbow i got is 22 inches. brown about 17. trophy for sure

I once released a floatin brown trout in the little red river.. eewwww Yea..she measured about 29" in length..I dont even wanna talk about the girth!  On a serious note Thats a BIG Beautiful Trout man...I love fishin Arkansas..I go to the Ouchita River every year.

This one is going on the wall...first trout I've ever kept. We do the whole catch and release thing with trout. I've actually felt a little guilty about keeping her but then I think about how cool the mount will be!!!!!
Thanks for all the nice words...it was pretty much all luck! If my fishing partner would not have been there I would have never landed it. He kept saying "quit fighting it!!!", I'd yell back "I know, I know...but keep telling me!!"
