forget the menu, forget the taste, has anyone looked at the mugs of the servers in any of your favorite eating establishments... they should all go bankrupt as far as I am concerned bolt

Oh I gotta hear this..... what exactly are you asking? I can give you a long long list of behind the scenes costs that pile up. When you pay $3 bucks for iced tea you actually think the place makes 3 bucks don't you......

I'm kind of interested too. When I had my donut shop, every single govt. entity had it's hands out saying "you owe this, pay up or we'll fine you." I don't know how eateries make it any more, with all the stuff they have to pay for.

Well they aren't making it..... right now it's a race to not go broke mostly. That would be why all these bankruptcys are getting filed. I hired a new cpa years ago, she had never handled a restaurant. She was absolutely shocked at the cost side transaction activities. She had never seen a business with so many invoices on a monthly basis. I could start typing a list out and after 30 years doing this I would forget 10 percent of the vendors we pay regularly off the top of my head.

We have a couple of local shops with great food, but they struggle.

I only buy store made chips. HEB are best and buy when going to deer lease. Right now I have to settle for Fresh. Tom Thumb's chips were also good but I think they quit making them. 3 sauce fajita burritos were my favorite at On The Border.
