Illegal is illegal, should we have an order of importance, it would be nice- but all illegals should go.  We should, which is why they have prioritized criminals. Good luck rooting out the illegals who have been here for decades. They exist and I doubt they are going anywhere anytime soon. They are picking them up every round. See Houston for example.

In other parts of the south, and I am sure in the other areas of the country, the construction, landscape and labor industries are not overrun by illegally employed illegal aliens.
A big issue is the people who employee the illegals have padded their bottom lines for so many years with cheap labor, that having to pay actually skilled labor would make their heads explode. This ^^ you only see handful east of Shreveport till you get too Atlanta. I was in Alabama where a lot my family lives in January and think in the town my dads from about week and seen 6 Mexicans total. They just don’t cater to them like Texas does

They could show up to any tract home subdivision and fill their vans, definitely no shortage of illegals. In every city in America. I don’t know of a legal person in home construction for concrete, roofing, Sheetrock, framing, masonry- etc. lots of folks making cash or 1099 which is abused. Plenty of legal folks doing those jobs. Are they reporting all of their earnings legally, no, cash is king and always will be. Do you blame them? Many aren’t exactly killing it financially. come out to some jobsites

So what happens when an illegal gets hurt or even killed while working for someone? Do the other illegals just drag them off into a ditch somewhere? I mean if they are illegal I’m sure they are not insured, what happens if they destroy your house? on commercial projects they are on workers comp

who is installing it
most on this thread don't have a clue what goes on in construction
especially on a commercial project
we just finished Euless Fire Station #2
the architect, fire chief, & mayor
loved the men on that project & the work they did
toughest inspections you could ever go through also

So your roofer? Do you do sheet metal too . And what are you considering skilled can these guy layout dormers with molds on radius solder etc or you talking bout skilled with caulking gun?
