Carry on 🤘✌️

I have a 2003 Ram with the same 5.9 motor. I can change mine myself for 95 bucks. I use 3 gallons Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection 15W-40 Diesel Engine Oil, Mopar oil filter and a fuel filter off of Amazon.

I’ve been doing my own oil changes since high school. I don’t plan to take it to the man unless something is really fouled up healthwise. It is sort of a stress reliever for me to work on my stuff around the place.
I use mobile 1 synthetic and either a Fram synthetic or a mobile 1 synthetic filter. And I do this on four vehicles and the tractor.

My newer vehicles go to dealership for oil changes, They test batteries, brakes pads, etc while there. One is a Honda and only want to use Honda parts.

Older vehicles I will let oil change place do them.

I change all my own oil. My daughter's Rav4 or wife's Honda Pilot are around $30 for a jug of oil and a fram filter. My F-250 is another situation entirely - it's around $100-$125 depending on whether I had some leftover oil from last time or not. I change fuel filters every other oil change which is another $100.
