? is what did you do with the used oil? Take it back to the Auto Parts store and they recycle it (free). I just dump mine in the lake. Might as well since you don’t fish anymore.

2002 Ram 2500, 5.9 diesel. Oil, filter and fuel filter, $125 (with AAA discount). Carry on 🤘✌️ I have a 2003 Ram with the same 5.9 motor. I can change mine myself for 95 bucks. I use 3 gallons Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection 15W-40 Diesel Engine Oil, Mopar oil filter and a fuel filter off of Amazon.

I’ve been doing my own oil changes since high school. I don’t plan to take it to the man unless something is really fouled up healthwise. It is sort of a stress reliever for me to work on my stuff around the place. I use mobile 1 synthetic and either a Fram synthetic or a mobile 1 synthetic filter. And I do this on four vehicles and the tractor.

For a diesel that's about half price from a dealership.
$300 is about the going rate for a dealership oil change. 23' Ford super duty 6.7 at dealer for oil change and tire rotation is 160 with Motorcraft oil (syn blend) and filter that Ford recommends.

My newer vehicles go to dealership for oil changes, They test batteries, brakes pads, etc while there. One is a Honda and only want to use Honda parts.
Older vehicles I will let oil change place do them.

I change all my own oil. My daughter's Rav4 or wife's Honda Pilot are around $30 for a jug of oil and a fram filter. My F-250 is another situation entirely - it's around $100-$125 depending on whether I had some leftover oil from last time or not. I change fuel filters every other oil change which is another $100.
