be real interesting to see the earnings comparison for top 80 elite vs. top 80 in MLF.....also be interesting to know what percent of TV,sponsor and venue earning are distributed back to the fishermen in both circuits...based on what I've heard (which may or may not be true),one of the main reasons that 80 fishermen left BASS was that they were fishing for their entry fees only and not getting any of venue,TV or Sponsor revenue....

How is this list on BassFan have any credibility... I am just basing this off two anglers. G-man and Palanuik... BMP won AOY last year and is currently 14th in AOY standings. Gerald was 15th last year and is currently 62 in AOY.
How do you rank on the BassFan rankings Swindle as #16 currently and Palanuik #26??

They will change that rule in the future, they love changing to suit Boyd and the other owners

I’ve noticed there are a ton of bitter Bassmaster lovers on TFF. Simple question. Why aren’t you following both tours because you’re missing out on 50% of available content?

Still follow both tours closely and have learned more from their live shows in the past 2 years than I learned watching Bill, Roland, Jimmy and Hank combined.

Tomorrow MLF has their Knockout Round on Guntersville. Look at their top 40 fishing on day 5.

That’s a who’s who of the best. Young and “experienced”😁.

The mass exodus would have never have happened if BASS wasn't a dumpster fire behind the curtain at the time, BASS got their act together because they had to survive but fives years later they are started to slide back into old habits.

TRUTH! Kind of. The fire 🔥 led to the exodus and spawned a new tour. While FLW needed a new home. Fortunate timing for MLF.

Thats a lot of research I'm not sure I'm ready to do this many beers in. I'd bet Jason Christie, Clark Wendlandt, Greg Hackney, and Brandon Palaniuk have won a pile of money also. I'm not a MLF hater and watch it some but much prefer BASS. I don't want to see either tour fail.

Bassfan is owned by the same parent company that owns MLF, so there has alwasy been an MLF bias from Bassfan.

Rankings are pretty much bunk these days anyway. You have to have a strength of field indicator and with two (or three I guess if you count NPFL) tours with different events/anglers/locations/regions/etc there's no ideal way to baseline a strength of field since you don't have an accurate angler ranking to begin with.

Now if Jeff Sagarin comes out with a Bass Fishing ranking, I'll believe in it.
