If you’ll go to YouTube and type in. Fisherman harassed me while fishing and I lost my cool. Anyone know the [censored] in the Triton? Both were hotheads IMO. I’ve been cut off a lot closer than that- casting distance close with you have the TM on 4 headed down the bank. Some people are just clueless

Was on Fayette about 15 years ago with my dad, who was about 65 at the time, fishing a main lake point. We had a couple of guys roll up on us within 100' cutting off our drift. After a couple of minutes and a few choice words my dad cranked up the big motor and headed straight for them at a pace fast enough to throw a large wake from his Ranger. When he got within a couple of boat lenghts from them he cut it sharp and put up a wake big enough to shake them up a little bit, without either party saying a single word. We left and hit another point close by. We saw them come by a while later, but they kept on going this time. Having fished tournaments for a few years on crowded lakes, I'm a little more tolerant of stuff like that, but I think he got his point across.

So then idle 2 docks in front of him and start fishing. Put the ball back in his court.

Don’t let it ruin your day. There is a whole lake to fish. Recognize that he is a A hole and move on to somewhere else. World is full of them.

Try and fish Rayburn in a 400-500 boat high school event. You want to get cut off? Come check it out. It's laughable what these captains will do to put little Timmy on 5 keepers ...

Don't come to OH Ivie, it's become beyond crazy. Idiots everywhere, I don't know if they just bought a boat and don't know squat or just don't give a [censored] about anyone but themselves. Sad thing is it just started.

I always try to use this in determining my actions. Am I going to be mad about it or is it going to affect my life tomorrow? If the answer is no, then it is not worth the confrontation. If the answer is yes, then confront them. I fish to relax and recenter myself as a form of self care so to speak. Not going to let someone else take this away from me. You cant control others actions only your own. Maybe I am soft and maybe not, I guess it just is what it is.

Sad thing is it just started. Yea well, the lake level is about to take care of some of these guys. There are big trees just under the water that are going to claim a few lower units of the guys running in places they have no business running.

I'd have just idled up to him and said what you just typed in a very polite way. If he took an attitude or acted like an [censored] about it, he'd get to practice changing trailer tire(s) when he finished up his fishing trip. The (s) would be determined how he responded.
If you wanna be a bad [censored] settle it face to face not like a little beach slitting tires. Funny after all these years still have the same keyboard commandos. Talking smack like they’re the biggest baddest dude on the water. There’s always someone bigger and badder and I am not going to fight over a fishing spot and I bet the majority wouldn’t either even if they get their keyboards out and fantasize on how tough they are in cyber space. Just idle around him and keep fishing. Thats not true, somebodys gotta be the baddest.

Great thread.....love feeling the testosterone! Although, my favorite way, and I have done it on several occasions, is to jump in the seat, tilt trim up, position boat just right, and goose it outta there. Expect a boat chase if it happens in winter!
