The Montage/St Jo/Nocona area is a very unique part of Texas.
Little hills, cliffs, valleys. Sort of like a mini hill country, but in north Texas with more rainfall and less heat in the summer.

I guess it would matter favorite for what. I love Hemphill because that means I’m fishing one of two awesome lakes. Leakey is one of my favorites for hanging out at the river. Lots of great towns in Texas.

I always enjoy going back. My grandparents ended up between Hamilton and Pottsville in a small German settlement. Something about Fredericksburg that draws me back.

It ain’t even a town, it a place, it’s called Rayburn Country. I have a house in Country Club subdivision on a gravel road so far off the beaten path they have to pump sunshine back here.

4 miles to the boat ramp on Big Sam, 35 min from my deer lease. Hamburger Depot on 255 has about as good of hamburger as they get. The Mexican resturant has pretty decent carnitas, Chicken fried steak at the stump has to much garlic but it will do. The dollar store sells beer.

All you city boys can have Austin, I’m good where I’m at.

Thanks, Billy
