For realz. I was in Vietnam when I found it. So was my brother.

I once found a non filled out money order for $800.00 from a credit union around the corner laying in the gutter, the timing was perfect as I had just been talking to my daughter about social responsibility....

We took it to the credit union and turned it in and did not even get a thank you for doing so

Another time I pulled up into a parking space at albertsons and found a $20.00 dollar bill laying on the ground, I considered that as paid parking ... paid parking.. get it

Was hiking in southern Washington state several years after I graduated HS and found a skeletonized man hanging in a tree from a dilapidated parachute, there was a duffle bag with a large amount of $20 bills on the ground under him. Had to be in the thousands. We just moved on and let the poor guy swing in peace and left his life savings in the bag ... it just felt like the right thing to do.

When I was a teenager I found a wallet laying on a trail when I was walking in a park in Dallas. Weird thing was it had four $50 bills in it and nothing else.

260 bucks in high school I was so happy I actually showed up to class early . I told myself if somebody came looking for it I would speak up and give it back . No one ever did .kind of chitty now that I think of it but I kept it and didn�t tell anybody.

$1400 in a wallet but I knew who it belonged to.

Riding my dirtbike in the 80s down by the river, found a bigazz yellow playtex dishwashing glove with a rock and piece of wire tied around it. Found it bout 10ft from river in the brush. Had a twenty and one SS check amongst the many empty envelopes. Mail fraud I guess. Kept the 20 and gave the bundle to mom and she took it to local post office.

Was at Retama Park a few months ago and was using the automated betting machine. I put in a $20 and the machine said I had $327 worth of credit, I placed my bet and got a voucher back for $307. I hung out by the machine for another race to see if someone would go back to that machine looking for their $307 but no one did, so I went and cashed it in, and called it a night.

I was a kid digging for worms and dug up a 100 bill. It was fully intact and the bank cashed it.
