Was in Jamaica this past summer and found several hundred dollars in Jamaican money snorkeling, come to find out it was worth like 70 cents per hundred in American money. I threw it back in.

When my mother was very young she found a purse with $5000 cash. She took it to her mother, looked at the ID inside and immediately called the lady and returned it. it was Cleo Epps, notoriously known as the Queen of the Bootleggers. She gave my mother a measly $5 reward. Years later Miss Epps was discovered in the bottom of a well, but my mother had nothing to do with that.

I found a wallet with $500 at work. I looked to see who it belonged to, and gave it back to him. He offered me a reward, but I turned it down.

Later that day I signed for a significantly large loan at the bank, the down payment was $500.

When I was a kid I was out picking up cans to make money to go to scout camp in NM and found a little over $300 in an envelope my a trash can on the side of the road. On said trip in NM in the middle of the mountains floating down a stream I found $20.

As a young adult I got out of my car and found a roll of $100 bills $900 total on the ground. I decided I didn't need to go in to Best Buy to buy any thing.

Found $60 dollars in the parking lot of a pawn shop a couple years ago.

When I was in Germany as a teen in the mid 80's I found a parking meter someone stole and broke open. I don't know how much was in there but it was heavy.

My friends always hated me because I was always finding money.

My step son and friends had a party at my house one night while wife and I went fishing. We got back and I opened the trash can and a $100 bill was laying on top of the trash....It was mine then, never said a word, snooze you lose.

Found a couple of $20's and a $5 that had blown up against a curb at a Wal Mart parking lot a few years back. All of the bills were within 10 yards of each other. Scanned the area for more, but that was all I found.

Lost my Wallet in the early 90's in the Astrodome. Had about $30 bucks in it along with DL and a few other items. Approximately 4 months later, I get a manila envelope from "Houston Sports Authority" and the wallet was in there! Everything, including the cash was there as well.

I found a gold coin one time, not sure how much it was worth but makes for a good story.
