$100 bill
Was in New Orleans for JazzFest/Kentucky Derby party. Walking downtown and spotted a folded bill at the edge of the sidewalk. The streets were crowded and watched about fifty people walk past it and over it for five minutes.

Several hundred in a Dallas bar. On my birthday, no less.

$20. I did find a quarter bag of weed in a bar in Dallas and a small bag of coke on a sidewalk in Ft. Collins.

Found a wallet with over $1,200 in it laying on the floor of a 7-11 that I was working the graveyard shift in.
Silly me, I contacted the wallet's owner and he didn't appreciate the 2am wakeup call. Shoulda just kept my mouth shut.

Returned a wallet at Home Depot last weekend--it was just laying in the parking lot. As I was exiting the store again, saw a man looking under his car and told him that the manager had it.

Mid '80s, a little over $250.00 in a little velcro pouch in the parking lot of a store in N Dallas. I went in and asked if anybody had reported losing anything. Waited a few days then decided it was ok to spend it. Think I bought a round for friends one night.

I found a twenty dollar bill blowing across the parking lot at a grocery store one time. On the negative end was the time I lost a $100 bill that was in the same pocket I had my phone in and it must of fell out when I pulled my phone out.

Oh, I know I did the right thing, but I was amazed that the guy was so ungrateful. If someone called me at 2am to let me know they'd found that much of my property, I'd at least say "thank you".
