One of the smartest things I have ever done. Did it on a Friday morning. Drove myself to and from. Blew off the pain killers and was drinking beer by Friday evening. Had a little bit of bruising on one side that didn't get the frozen peas as much. Rested a little on Saturday and was back to normal on Sunday.
Explain to the wife that you may need some help providing the test samples that will be needed in six weeks and then six months.

I need to. I just bought a 100 pack of random protections on Amazon the beginning of the month. In 4 years when they are gone I'm getting snipped. You won't run out. Trust me. There is something very not-straight going on behind the scenes here.

Had it done on a Friday morning and went to my sons baseball game Friday night. Sat in a chair with a bag of frozen peas on my balls.

Really a non event for me. Had it done in the morning, sat on the sofa iced down the rest of the day and went to work the next day. No swelling and hardly any soreness. Nothing to really dread.

I got it done for my 22nd Christmas present from my old man. I had a boy and a girl by then. Old doctor did not give me enough anesthesia and I told him I could feel my nose coming out when he pulled the first tube. Told me to go home, put my feet up and drink a 6 pack of beer. Put bags of frozen peas down there for a few hours. All worked out fine and we had the neighbors over for dinner and served them the peas. That was 46 years ago.

Ice pack and doing absolutely nothing are your friend. Had it done on a Friday, 32 years ago and was back to work on Monday....not ready to run a race but back to work.
You feel perfectly fine immediately afterwards but, and they will tell you this, don't do anything. Go home and find a comfortable chair to sit in to do nothing. Any other choice and you will regret it. This. Day two and maybe three can be pretty sore, but just be smart and plan to spend a long weekend in a recliner watching tv. Keep 'em iced and stay on top of pain with the light meds and you'll be back to normal within four or so days. Do too much and it can be a lot worse.

I never had it done for fear of losing the Heinz 57 master race lineage forever. Ala Mohicans, Titans, etc.
