Does anyone know where to get minnows around RC? I saw people bring minnows with them, unfortunately, there seems like no live bait store near my area (east Plano).  Homeboys Shell gas station at Chiesa Rd and Hwy 66 has really good minnows, in Rowlett. whats his price? Does he sell by the pound? Anyone knows where to get minnows by pound? I do know there is a live bait store by Lake Lewisville selling 15 bucks a pound. A little bit too far to drive just for the minnows though.

KFJ, Did you keep all the 30 sand bass? I hope you did not. my home was veg home [no meat].i never take fish home .even got limit just give away after pic if less just release!!!!!  fishing was my favorite like the sport.

Yea Perry I was out there Friday as the front moved in and it shut down the bite. Explored downstream from where I started from and it was dead. Sure hope it warms up and we get just a bit of rain. Getting tired of hooking up on those little undersized males that are in the creek. Next time I go I may try using minnows for the first time. THis run hasn't really got going yet and I am hoping this year I hit it when it does.

I know some who killed it this weekend, albeit on different creeks. I think lots more, including myself, struggled though.

 this area was deep honey hole today scouting with mounting bike at rc saw this guy used minnow catch almost limit even at lunch time.i stop by and watch he catch 5 in 20 minutes.[this area was north fire wheel bridge]

Question for anyone who is fishing near gun range... Where is the best place to put it in. I started walking at the firewheel bridge, but did not make it that far. Is there an area that is closer to walk in from?>

when you start walk from fire wheel bridge to north.you should see people fishing all around the bank by side walk
