Thanks, guys! Hit WRC today. Fished it from Greenville Avenue to the Dart Light Rail Tracks. TALK ABOUT DEAD!! Some of the most beautiful, emerald green, crystalline water you could ever hope to see, rushing rapids, deep backwash pools, sunken trees and brush/debris piles everywhere, some of the most inviting water you could ever hope to see anywhere, and the sum total: One tiny sand bass, and one tiny crappie. Oh and one two inch long threadfin shad that actually bit a chartreuse/red hollow body tube.
So sad!
Rudy

I hit the opposite side. Started in the front of the horse stable and worked my way through the "bend". Didn't see anyone out there but the birds. So many birds nesting in the trees that it felt like it was raining poop on some areas. Only caught one yellow bass. It makes me wonder if it's going to get better, or are they done for the year.

For some reason right before the rain aND after the rain at wrc the fishing shuts down . Last night the bite was decent caught 8 keepers. And a lot of throw backs.

That water's looking good. Makes me want to take out my waders and start exploring upper creeks.

With waders, in the water, without, walking the bank. I walk the banks, have no waders.

It certainly makes it easier to cross the creek and reach areas the you wouldn't be able access otherwise.

Where is the parking lot for Marshall (?) Creek? I went there this spring but lost my directions. It's the creek north of Roanoke, feeding into grapevine. Is it south of 1171 off 377? Knob hill trail says Google maps.

I'm sure that all of the creeks on Grapevine right now are very flooded. Also are you referring to the creek that runs under 377?

If you are referring to the creek under 377, Denton Creek, don't bother. Last time I checked, "flooded" would be putting it lightly.
