Anyone hit up WRC or any other creeks yet? I am asking because i got two creek mouths that are absolutely on fire, so I know they cannot be isolated incidences! I could tell you which creeks, but i prefer that you guys go out and explore, like i do, and find em, like i have, and then report back. It has been red hot, from the bank, with jig and bobber. Color and brand name is of absolutely no importance, they are slamming everything i am throwing. They are partial to very small UNPAINTED jigs, 1/32 nd. oz. and hollow body plastic, on light line, 6 or lighter. Depth on the jig is 12-18 inches, depth of water i am fishing is 5-8 ft, and thick with rain runoff logs, limbs, debris, etc. How good you say, well, in late afternoon, between 4:30 and 5:30 on Thursday, I got 15, majority but not all, keepers. Thursday night, after 10:30 pm, got 4 in less than 20 minutes, hefty girls! Got broken off by a largemouth that i got a good look at, that had to go 7 lbs., or bigger. Today, between 5:20 pm and 5:45 pm(I HAD to go to work), got 10, 4 keepers, and i mean KEEPERS! Tonight, after I get off work, gonna go hunt some more. I fully expect them to be there, and i will probably try a different creek, just for laughs. I have a gut feeling they are SOMEWHERE IN WRC as well. Why wouldn't they be? Down in my neck of the woods, we did not get enough rain to stain the water for long, clearing up nicely this afternoon. Yesterday i fished in 15-20 mph wind gusts(not constant), and i couldn't get the jig in the water fast enough for em.
To be continued for rest of Fall and Winter.

Awesome report Rudy! I plan to get out and explore some places as well. I plan on paddling the kayak into some creeks in the coming days. I'll let you know if I find any fish, crappie or whatever bites.

The bass fishing is also off the chain, but i have caught so many largemouths of all sizes in the last month and a half, i was ready to see a cigar bobber stand straight up, then disappear from sight! I am pumped!

Jackpot! Fast and furious for just over an hour. Jig/glowstick bobber, near brush pile, just off current, creek mouth. Creek #3 is the charm, lol. No brand name jigs, just the commoner, bargain basement variety. Life is good. Go find ya some. Rudy

Nice mess of crappies guys. So what's there pattern? Why do they tend to go up the creek? What happen the ones at the lake if there is no creek are they shallow this time of year?

Crappie follow the shad that go up the creek basically. The creek stays warmer in the winter than the main lake so the shad go up the creek to stay warm or they go deep in the main lake. White Rock Lake isn't a very deep lake so most of the shad swim up the creek to survive. The predator fish follow the food.
