I believe that the beauty of the internet is that you can choose how much of it you want. If I don't feel like reading somebody go on and on about a bunch of nothing (based on my opinion), then I simply move on. Some people have the equivalent of road rage out here, and get upset with guys just because they've decided they don't like them. If you wanna use incorrect grammar, do you. If you wanna lie about where you caught them, or how, go ahead. If you wanna back reel, back that thang up.

My wife told me a long time ago, that if something doesn't directly effect me, that I don't give it much energy. I guess she's right. BUT... I will say that I have met some people that I will consider life-long friends that are polar-opposites of me (but good men, in spite of that) because of this 1 thing we have in common. That in and of itself is worth the occasional trip out here to yank chains, and get roasted about my ability to count, or operate a PFD. At the end of the day, my motto is live, and let live. Fish, and let fish. TDub Out............ bolt

Excellent T-Dub thumb

So good to hear from people who haven't posted in many moons. Some really good folks for sure.
I was reminded today of one of the wittiest and funniest guys with some of the best one liners I've ever read on here; Ratmo. Great guy. The banter between he and Cedar Creaker was oh so funny.

Lots of good memories on here, but one of the best occured years ago when a young boy joined and wanted to learn to crappie fish. Lots to the whole story, but to watch a bunch of strangers come together for this young man was epic. Brian Spagnola took the lead and we watched the curious boy grow into a crappie catching young man. Members donated a boat, electronics, tackle, etc. but most importantly.....they donated their time to help. Some really, really good folks crappie fish.

Yes indeed and that would be Anthony (fishin'aholic). He's now 22, about to me married and finishing college. He is still slaying Crappie too...

Terrance (Steelman TFF handle) gave him the boat. The reason I love this forum is because of guys like Brian and Anthony. Brian is the most generous person I've ever met and Anthony loves to fish more than anyone I know. I honestly think he's a fish.

Just had my 8th anniversary. (but no cake) I'm 58. The forum has taken me to a lot of new fishin' holes I would never have known about otherwise.

I get plenty of good information, and sometimes the posts are so comical, I laugh for days just at the thought of what was posted.

Had to post to see how long I've been here. Just had my 10th. I lurked for 2 years before joining.

I loved watching the youngster's friendships develop with great role models on here. Great fishermen and even better men.

Some of the antics of Ratmo....well, what can you say about Ratmo. Not much. roflmao
I remember the old days when he was a little paranoid of being watched by a private eye.

Because of health and disabilities, I don't fish anymore. Except here on the forum.

I've been here for a little over 7 yrs now.
I want to THANK all those that have contributed to helping me develop what few skills I have! I learned a great mass of knowledge in these few short years, that I would not have been able to have obtained in the same amount of time without TFF!!!
I have also made new GREAT life long friends here and have fished with quite a few of them.

The changes that have affect how I now view TFF is that although there was always some picking on someone here, it was between friends and done in fun. And I always got a big kick out of watching them go back & forth.
Now, when I go thru a page of threads, there is almost always rude comments. And it can be on just a subject, not at a person. Belinda & I made have gone to great lengths to avoid any DRAMA in our life. Life is too SHORT!

I haven't posted in awhile, to be truthful, I haven't fished that much since the cold hit, I just physically can't handle it anymore.
Once it warms up, I'll continue to attempt to give reports that share info with a little humor to help others enjoy the passion for the THUMP that I gained here.
PEACE OUT thumb
