Re: Soto to the Mets in largest sports contract ever

Well, as long as they continue to raise ticket prices, there will always be someone who pays those prices, contracts will continue to rise, just think there's probably a high school player now who will sign the 1st billion dollar contract. Probably happen within the next 7-10 years, if not sooner.

I don't know the Trax, but I have watched the trend by many car makers to put out these mid-small sized SUV's with underpowered engines as a measure to save weight and gas mileage. Not a fan of undersized engines at all. I do a ton of driving in big city freeways, and also west Texas highways. In both cases, there are times when you need the ability to punch the accelerator and move your butt. Some of those cars with a hamster wheel are flat out dangerous on the freeway.

I'm on my 2d one. My 24 got totalled by hail so I got a 25. Plenty of room, quick enough, and the 1RS, which is one step up from the base model, has heated seats and heated steering wheel. It is not a cvt, it has a regular 5 speed automatic. I like them, but honestly wouldn't expect it to be a 200 000 mile vehicle with the tiny 3 cylinder turbo. And if you damage it, replacement body parts are nonexistent.

You need a mobile qb to win the NC. Hope Ewers proves me wrong but I have doubts They are gonna have to find a way to generate a few more points to make much of a run.

Good thing is, we get a playoff, yea I know we had one for a few years, but that was only with 4 teams. March madness in basketball has finally rubbed off the right way to college football. Guess it will be called Winter Madness

I bought a 2025 in May. Have been very happy with it so far, RS trim has a lot of perks. The "CVT" transmission is a little different feeling but we are used to it from a previous Nissan Versa. I don't care for the auto stop/start (manual override button). Has enough power to do what we do on the road.

Can't tell if you guys are having a little fun at Johns expense, or are really that uneducated about music. I love the Stones. But they probably wouldn't have ever gotten to the U.S. without The Beatles. Those guys literally changed rock and roll music in so many ways. Whether you liked them or not, give them their due. They took the rock scene, if that's what you want to call "rock around the clock", etc, from the 50's sound to Sgt Peppers. They were the first to use multi-track recording. John Lennon was the first guitar player to record feedback from a guitar. (intro to I Feel Fine) Music is subjective. Who's the best guitar player? Depends on who you like, what genre, etc. The Beatles even "gave" the Stones one of their first hits, I Wanna Be Your Man. Mick gave the rock and roll hall of fame intro for the Beatles. I didn't care for John's political views but I loved his music. I don't like Donald Trump as a person, but damn sure like him as our Pres. The Beatles, Stones, Zepplin...ALL rock. I agree Paul had the more successful solo career, but John put the Beatles together and was the mastermind behind it all. Rest in peace John. I believe it is lack of knowledge It can be none of those things. A lot of people believe it or not, are not enamored with celebrity. I’m not mad at Lennon, I could just care less. Celebrity has nothing to do with this His music will last forever Who do you like Toby Keith? They have already quit playing his music Like I said I’m not mad at the guy- I’m sure it will last forever- i just don’t think he is anymore important than a roofer or a car salesman or a plumber.

If my budget was 25k- I’d buy the nicest used Toyota or Honda I could find. The trac is a really neat looking car for the money, that’s the appeal, how it is in a few years is what would make me nervous.

That caveman movie Ringo was in was pretty funny, everything else about the Beatles pretty much sucked. you must have been sitting on a corn flake during that period Did you throw your panties on stage when you went to see them? I have been to one concert in my life... my first girlfriend took me to see Heart.. never had the desire to be in a big crowd like that with a bunch of corn flake sitting panti sniffers... You were at one time interested in girls? Who knew

Re: Private pond bass catch and release

I like fishing ponds with a bunch of 14 inchers. I would rather catch 50 of those than 10 3 pounders, but I know everyone is different. I did get to fish a private pond once that was LOADED with 3-7 pounders, that was a blast! But if I owned a pond I dont know if I would have the patience needed to grow it the right way....

We almost bought one for our kid, but the dealership tried the ol’ price bait & switch when we were writing a deposit check (this was back when cars were flying off the lot). The car has some really nice features at a real reasonable price, I’m just not sure how long the 3cyl turbo would hold up. Lots of manufacturers going to these tiny turbo motors.
Report back after you look at it and let us know how it feels when driving. Somewhere around $26k (might have been $28k) gets you the top of the line in the Trax.
