I'm sure it would get old having a dock/slip and having hooks, etc..snagged on it but that's all part of having it on the lake. I do have one buddy that's oblivious and will fish a dock even if the owners are there fishing, hanging out, etc....rather than just give them some berth and go to the next one, unless we are with him ragging on him to go past it.

I have a dock and fish. But people that fish my dock , are just as weird. That makes dock owners weird. I found a Texas rigged worm with 20 ft of line hooked on my martin house , which is on the bank. Plus I get a kick of watching 99% of the fisherman , set the hook on a little wire I have stretched across a certain section. Feels just like a bite. Ha ha.

I had the opposite happen. Fishing a dock with my partner and owner came walking down. I thought "here we go" The owner said hey don't fish there. Not wanting to have a battle as there were many other docks down the shoreline we said sorry we will fish the next one. He said "no" I mean I wouldn't flip under my dock. I just did a bunch of work there and no fish. I have a brush pile about 20' out behind you. He pulled up a chair and said he wanted us to catch the 5lb'er he caught the week before. We didn't but nice to see a nice dock owner.

I too have a dock and guys fish the heck out of it, But that is part of full time lake life. I will even direct them to some structure I know near by. I'll stick by my statement, spikes by lights is a little out there.
