For those who have used the reel, what's the feedback? How does it compare to the Curado?

The reel is super smooth and extremely solid...after my first cast my jaw dropped all could say was wow! The castability is unbelievable! Best reel for it's price point on the market. It's a workhorse its all aluminum and actually has a higher than specified drag at 16.5 lbs

Oh I forgot to add in I just bought the newly released curado and it is simply amazing! The tatula completely smokes the previous curado g and chronarch e series though.

I have had mine for 2 weeks. Its by far the best casting reel I have ever owned. I have Curado Es and Gs. It is now on my favorite rod and gets used the most.

My same thoughts. Been using Chronarch D and really like them, but I bought the Tatula Type R and put it on a Tatula rod was amazed Daiwa could build these at that price range.

I love my Tatula! It has also quickly become my favorite reel. Just need to add a typer R to my collection now!

I love mine, I have a few Curados and like them also. I like the Tatula a little better, it seems smoother and casts farther. I know how the Curados hold up over time, that will be the final test for Tatula to me, is how good will it be a few years down the road.

I just got one and used it about 20% of the time over a period of 4 days throwing mostly a bandit 200. I was running the spool pretty full with 15 lb mono. I was quite satisfied with it.
Think it would have worked even better with a lighter action rod with that light bait. It's a keeper for sure.
