"When you wanna go, go. Don't worry about what the weather man says - he's never right!"

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

So it would be smart to be tied to the boat and fall out and get drug? Even at an idle(HotFoot) and older fella don't have the strength to untie himself. Or if you fell out before the boat stopped? Or if the rope got entangled on the prop? Death Wish.

Even if you are disconnecting during a run, fishing and tying yourself to the boat it seems as though you could fall over get caught up on the rope and cause more harm than good. Just something to trip on and cause trouble.

Don't be offended, I think they are just looking out after ya shipmate! nannyboo

Letting people put parameters on your fishing- it is what it is - I always remember that is what matters.
In other words never let other fishermen tell you you got lucky or you fished somewhere too easy or didn't find that spot yourself(even though you did), or you used a guide or live bait,or you just stumbled onto that pattern, or you caught her on a bed or private lake, or you used heavy line,or whatever. I translate that as they are purely jealous and wish they had thought of what you did first- lol. Get results using any legal means possible because results are all that counts.
