To fish and camp around these islands near Highpoint Marina, what license or permit is required?

If my work and family schedule allows, I'd definitely be up for a trip like this as well. Or to Purtis, or anywhere else nearby that might have good camping, I love this stuff. I've been to Purtis to camp before at the primitive campgrounds and didn't stay because a crazy late-summer storm that dropped a ton of hail blew through and made fishing impossible, but their primitive campgrounds are quite nice and are an easy paddle across the lake from the boat ramp so they're a bit more isolated than most. But I'm up for anything of the sort if someone wants to try and plan something.

Like I said above, no permit or license required to camp on the islands. They are not private property. However, you wouldn't want to camp "around the islands" because then you'd be underwater. rolfmao

I went to Clear Lake at LBJ grasslands on Thursday through Saturday.

Good weather and only three other campers on the small lake.
There is a creek to put the kayaks in and fishing was so so.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best
