Hi Fellow Anglers,

I hear and read all about great lakes with good/great catches. What lake(s) would you considered that is tough for you when it comes to sandie and hybrid all year round? Mine would be Grapevine and Lake Lewisville. I couldn't buy a bite to save my life with these two lakes. In fact I have been skunked more on these lakes then any other. Out of 12 months I'd struggle at least 10 months. Maybe it's just me. How about yours?

grapevine is full of sandies. Not hardly any hybrids. Lewisville is a hybrid bonanza

Keep em tight!

Funny you would say Fork. The Bass guys think that lake is infested with sand bass.

I vote Benbrook, it has a good population of both and can be very hard to catch on a consistant basis. That is if your name is not Kerry Dugan.

Catch and release into the grease!

I've never been to Lake Fork but maybe those bass guys can point me to where those sandies are. I would love to catch them all day.

Fork is FULL of magnums Sandies. Not hard to find them at all. Same patterns as everywhere else. Humps and points.

Well for me Ray Roberts has been extremely tough this year. In the past we have been able to kill em almost at will. But this year has been piss poor for me, and some of my buddies have had the same experience. It use to be excellent for numbers of fish, but, I have never thought it had much going on in the way of big sandies. All of the places we use to nail em this time of year are like ghost towns. I mean not able to mark squat on the graph in areas that use to really light the graph up. bang

Towne Lake in McKinney. Tried everything in my tackle box. Never caught a sandbass.

Road beds of fork it's not over ram yet but there are some giants in there. But for the topic I have to say proctor even though I've had way more great days than bad days it is absolute feast or famine when you have a bad day it's really bad. But still good far outnumber the bad.
