Went today just to see the water level and its not as good as last year I can see that some sand bass could be in it. What I don't know is at the mouth of the lake has water or not. Photos today Looking right (up stream) of boat ramp Looking left (down steam) of boat ramp Looking up boat ramp Looking down boat ramp

I plan to try and hike or paddle downstream this weekend to check it out. I know right before the creek dumps in to the lake, their is a hump. Along with 2 trucks!! The whole area at the mouth is shallow as it is. We will see.

I wish that a few of us could, you know, kind of shovel out the mouth so that the fishies could come up... Sorry guys but I'm literally tossing and turning in my sleep dreaming about dozens of hook sets in the same amount of minutes.

I agree DentonDon. With the amount of silt that comes through this creek I would assume that whole mouth area is clogged and shallow. When I made the paddle up from Sandy Shores boat ramp up to the mouth of the river, the first 150 yards before the mouth was about a foot of water and another 6in to a foot of silt. Almost like someone just needs to flush the toilet a couple times real good to clean it out.

Wouldn't the rain just wash more silt to the mouth? Who has a back hoe on floats we can borrow?

Nice day, I got a grass carp at the mouth of the creek and my buddy got 1 crappie and 1 sand bass. Still early and this weather wont help any. Yea the lil shack thing is 1/2 way down to the mouth on the west bank.

I must have missed the shack. I bet some kid calls it his fort. I think most of us who grew up outside of the city limits had a fort or two.
