I always have 20 ft extra rope on my throw net. Sometimes I will add 40 ft in the dead of winter to account for the drift in deep water. I was hoping some one would have posted on here. I haven't been fishing in 3 months. Going on Monday so we will see what happens.

1.5 pounds per foot or heavier is a good net up to 40'. I throw a 8' net and have no problem and mine is a bait buster

Sorry mine is a 7'. But can't find a law on size limits of net.
