Ain't no fish in Lewisville. I'd try a better lake.

The fish on the left in my signature was caught 1/28/13 on lake Lewisville in 2 FOW. One of 10 over 15 #'s in that spot. "Just Sayin" Listen to the Man.

Maybe in march they will be big enough to use. Most of them where going thru my 3/8 mesh bait buster net, But that was three almost four weeks ago. The birds where hitting the water east of the 35 bridge about 715/730 am today

Big heavy net, 10 foot extra rope. Ninja like throwing reflexes!. roll over those darn shad in the deep, hit the whole ball.
Hey it works every now and then. Boy is it fun when it happens.

Heavy nets are important to catch bait. Guess I'll start looking in the shallows

I guess I mean that a good heavy net can catch shad at 30 feet.
Others disagree. But I have done it.
I have trolled the boat docks a thousand times.
One I found a ball of shad at 25 feet. I lead em like I am a ninja sharpshooter.
Typically I can get them.
Extra rope on your cast net is controversial at least. But, hey it works for me!
Just one piece of insight. Your mileage will vary.

OH, I missed something. Bait busters come in different weights. Make sure you are in the heavy range.

And, BTW, I am not an expert, been looking for shad for a couple of years. But this works for me, lots of times.
