Why do you have to burn super unleaded gas in your 250xs? I run regular in mine, no problems.....?

Actually that's what led to my post. I finished up an Excel spreadsheet to submit the end of Dec.

Gas is bad enough, the 2 cycle oil for that 250 Vmax series II is another huge expense. At $30 a gallon that really adds to the expense. With that said, I will never go back to a smaller motor.

If you continue then you will have some serious problems. The Racing 250xs (not the PROxs)requires high octane fuel. Minimum 91 octance.

Yamalube is way over-rated

Better oils out there for $20

Just wondering how much money do you get back per gallon on the tax form? It also states that your receipts have to have your name on them, all mine have is the last 4 didgits of my debit card. Is that sufficient?

As stated before. Be sure to keep your receipts for the gas you use in your boat. You can get a refund from the State of Texas for the tax you pay on the fuel you put in your boat.

Last year they only required my recipts to have "BOAT" written on them. But I consolidated them and made copies of several on one page and also made a spread sheet to go with them. Got back a pretty good "penny" to help justify starting over again this past year. Glad you guys reminded I need to send in again.
