I am looking forward to going back on Tuesday for the brisket!!
Thanks for the heads up about this place cheers

That's the only bad thing is he cooks a certain amount and when it's gone they're closed.Next time hang around long enough for someone to order "The Sadie",it's the biggest baked potatoe you've ever seen with butter, cheese, beans, chopped brisket, sausage, and BBQ sauce! food I hurt myself last time I ate a whole one!

The City Market in Luling, TX gets my vote. Best sauce I have ever tasted, plus the meat is slow cooked the old-fashioned way!

If ever in Tyler, TX I recommend Stanley's. Great brisket, ribs, and sausage.

Their beef ribs are insane. In my opinion they are second only to Louie Muellers.

And they also have the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. That's right, best I've had. It's called the Mother Clucker. It's on jalapeno cheese bread with smoked boneless chicken thighs, cheddar cheese, spicy bbq mayo, a fried egg, and you want to add the candied bacon. It is insane.

If you are ever in Montgomery we have a number of good BBQ joints. Try yo momma's pit BBQ, or Kickin Ash on 105. Also, if heading south on 2854, try Hey Boys BBQ. All good, but check the hours of operation before driving to any of them. Yo Momma's Pit BBQ is my personal favorite.

If you have to put BBQ sauce on brisket it's a good indication that it's not 4 * eats.
Cottons BBQ in Robstown is right at the top of the best in Tejas.

Must have been a while since you've been to Cottens BBQ in Robstown - the place burned down back in 2011. As far as I know they have never reopened.

I'm on a little central Texas BBQ road trip this weekend. First stop was Fargo's Pit BBQ in Bryan, TX.

The brisket was good. It was moist, had well rendered fat, and a nice smoky flavor.

The ribs were really good. They looked dry but were very moist. I loved the light salty rub that they use.

The sausage had a good bite and a good flavor. I prefer a coarser grind on my sausage but this one was good too.

Loco Coyote is great but be prepared for a fairly long wait for a table. If you order the BBQ platter bring your appetite with you - the platter could easily feed 2-3 people.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!
