"water is pumped from Granbury to Squaw Creek to Keep it full"
Yep. Yep, then the genius who thought up this plan decided to release the Squaw Creek water back into the river DOWNSTREAM of Granbury. Engineers are not so smart sometimes.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I just don't get why anyone thinks Granbury is exempt from the drought. Looks to me that Granbury is in better shape than the lakes above or below it. Keep it in perspective, Wichita Falls is in bad, bad shape. Arrowhead is -16.3 and Kemp is -23.5. WE NEED RAIN!!!
Granbury- -9.07 PK- -13 Whitney- -11.3 Graham - -11.5 Hubbard Creek- -22.9 Eagle Mountain- -6.8 Lewisville- -8.1 Benbrook- -4.4

Guys joking about evaporation , that was one of the reasons the BRA was giving for continue downward level of the lake two summers ago . The Drought does have a large impact on all of the Lakes , a lot of different issues here at Granbury about the Lake level , we are hoping that rain will make it right for everyone .

the coe gauge at the dam reads at 12/18/13 ....1800 hrs 683.83 which now makes the lake 9.17 inches low .At 1200 it was 783.85. Sure would like to know where the water is going ?

Really?!?!?! I've haven't heard anything about the fishing being good at GB. Can you please take the time to detail your experiences? What kind of fish, size, etc, etc? Thanks.

I agree, been out several times on the lower end by powerlines and nothing! Haven't seen anyone else even out. I read the Hood county paper and he is saying the same thing, but i haven't seen but one black bass fisherman in many weeks.

Forgot what I was going to post. On lower end by power lines, large water pump on trailer set and pumping out of lake. You can see pipeline going up the hill? Can't seem to get picture off of phone to show. Each ntime I have been out It has been running.

That pipeline is going to a frac site that has to be a mile away. Have had to drive over the pipeline a couple times to get to claims out that way. Got a guy that just sits by that ramp over the pipe all day with a cooler! Leaking water all over the pipeline too! Seriously makes me mad.

My mistake... the 783.85 figure was the reading for Squaw Creek.Squaw creek even though it has in my last sentence.warmer water than Granbury doesn,t seem to evaporatelike Granbury wasthe point I was trying to make
