I sent my nephew a message asking if he would like to go fishing with me this afternoon. His reply was, I am turning this thing around and headed to your house now. Well that didn't take much arm twisting. Somewhere around half of the fish caught would absolutely knock the snot out of the "Ole Fishing Farmer", they bit just the way you dream about, THUMP with a rod bend!  The other half you would have to be creative, to entice the thump. We ended up having a good afternoon with a few good ones. Fish were caught in 10 FOW to 29 FOW. Water temp was 81.  Here is one that has two tails!

Nice mess of crappie!! As good a mess as I've seen lately! All but, one look like they will make some nice fillets!

Good eyes Bob, that little sucker inhaled that jig and we had to keep one little one.
It's getting close, about a week away and they will really go nuts!

Arm twist? The only arm twist it took was to spin the steering wheel around and head north.
It was a back and forth battle through our first 6 fish a piece. Killa landed the two fish and one was a pretty good one. I thought, its Gana be a long day. Then the tipped farmer started fishing it's was back and forth. Then killa went on a 10 fish streak and left no hope for a catch up. Until I ended the day with a dink. Gotta find your victories somewhere.
P s if you need graph reading tips, killa calls each fish on each brach and is + or - an once of fish weight. He can't see for shiz without his glasses unless it's that black and orange screen then it's like reading Brail

Nice catch Kirk. Hope the weather cooperates so I can make up for Stucky's poor showing last weekend. LOL I'm not on here that much, or for that long these days, so I probably missed some good banter and repartee from the trip.

Thump Buddy by Lights Out Tackle. The color is called "The Fishing Farmer" it is the Hottest Color on the market right now. I believe they are in production, you can contact Lane for details.
