After more than a year of looking at center consoles, and 4 months of negotiating prices, I finally bought a new bay boat today! The boat for me turned out to be the Polar 2310. Thanks everyone here at the TFF who answered my questions as I narrowed my search, and those who referred me the "The Hulltruth.com", you helped me choose the right boat for me and my family. I went with the Honda 225 and a Riptide TM. Lowrance x-135 on the CC and an Eagle 480 on the bow. Other family requirements were a bimini top and ski toe. I'll be working on breaking in the motor and getting familiar with her on Grapevine tomorrow - don't even care if the weather is foul. I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how to do it here on the TFF.

I feel I must add one more comment because I have never been more delighted with a major vehicle purchasing experience in my life. Vaughn Whittle at Jerry Whittle Boats in Lewisville made my purchasing experience very pleasant. Absolutely no pressure! Very reasonable on my trade-in Fish-n-ski (I checked the retail/wholesale value of the boat) most dealers I spoke with didn't want to deal with a trade-in. He also accommodated the minor adjustments I requested at no extra charge, and there were quite a few.

I'm thinking of naming her
"Megabyte" since I work in technology but I'm concerned this name may be over used. I welcome any comments.

Sounds like a great boat, and buying experience. Congratulations!

Only a subtle change, maybe, to the name of your boat.

How about "MEGABITE"??

Allfish,

Color, man, color...what's the color of the new vessel?

Name? How about "Huntress"....

Dooh! She is white on white with a blue and gray pinstrip, matching blue bimini. I'll take "Huntress" into consideration. Thanks!

Way to go Allfish! Ain't nuthin better than a new boat! Sounds like a fine rig, get a picture up on the TFF Share Album and there are plenty of people here that can get it posted for you.

Congrats, Allfish! Nothing else quite like a new boat.

Sea Drive, maybe?
