The customer service at dicks is piss poor....if academy sells it, I will buy it from them...

I bought an air bed from dicks in North Richland Hills. I bought the extended warranty which required me to contact the manufacturer first. That would leave me with no place to sleep until they responded. I explained this to Jennifer Koly, and she went out of her way to take care of my problem. Thanks Jennifer !

Acadamy in Grapevine has taken a giant step backwards. Dicks I have no clue about. H20 junk and most of that is poorly stocked as well now. If I need fishing gear I order direct from manufacturer or tackle shop on line. Bass Pro is only used if I need to get rid of a gift card. Disagree on one point, H2O junk. I think some of the Academy crankbaits are great. I have caught good bunches of fish on them several times and they only cost about a third of what some of those that are being recently hyped do. I would hate to see them dissapear.

Dick's has great sales going on a lot of times online. Bought a bunch of 10XDs while they were having one and have around $9 a piece in them.

I remember when Dicks pulled all of their AR style rifles off the shelves away from the public eye right after the sandy hook shootings. No Dicks for me.

Dicks is terrible in my opinion. Academy is a good place with the best deal of any retail store. Plus they put most baits on sale at some point eventually. Bass Pro is just way overpriced. Cabelas isn't close but its worth a trip every now and then, plus you can almost always go home with several deals found at Cabelas.

Prefer Academy...but the store in McKinney has just removed over 900 fishing items from the store assortment. Tackle Warehouse or Academy online for me

Academy and Cabelas are the two best.. Bass pro and dicks are way to expensive. I like Cabelas for selection and academy for the prices.

Academy in Plano is down to four vertical racks of Berkley and they are real cheap. Clerk old me they are not restocking Berkley. Hooks are stocked with ones that are very specialized.. Never saw a 7/0 hook..looks like a harpoon. They used to have almost one whole aisle of Zooms...now about 10 vertical rows. I use many of the web sites when they have good sales..TW, LBF, Bass Tackle Depot, etc.
