are there any good spots to go gar fishing on the trinity river in the dfw metroplex and if so what type of equipment would be good to use

Yep 200lb fastflight line, Muzzy broadhead, fiberglass arrow and a jug full of air and you can gar fish all day.

if you really wanna see the strength of the gar rod and reel is best and i believe theres gar in the trinity right behind the fort worth court house

There are gar in literally every section of the Trinity in the Fort Worth area. Just pick a spot and go!
