OK...so if everyone is throwing the A-rig, then are we going to tie when we all come to weigh in? Obviously not. There is still skill in finding the RIGHT fish, landing fish, etc.

I can't wait to see what the next technology will be that will cause a big controversy. Maybe swim baits with battery operated tails that wiggle or something? A jig with a battery that can you just toss out there and it twitches itself. All you have to so is set the hook if it runs off?

They already have that. You log on to the website and use your mouse to manipulate a rod to cast, retrieve and set the hook in a real pond using above and under water cameras. You pay for minutes to fish! Crazy what technology will do just so people can catch a fish!!

I know I had no intrest in throwing it for a long time, Skeeter Don talked me into getting one and trying it out, Man I am glad he did, there is a number of ways you can rig it. I love making mine weedless, to roll that thing to a tree and kill it, man it is a awesome bite, I know I am going to Port A June 14th and you can bet I will have that baby on with a few of the hooks weighted and big cane thumpers with pink tails fishing on the Jetty. I know it has been done but I have not caught more than one fish at a time on the bait. I know in the past I have put on a 1 oz jig with a double C-Rig trailer. I have also done a triple drop shot rig as well. Never caught more than one fish on those set ups but I have caught a double a few times on a DD 22 though.

I guess Im just an old fashioned hater of my favorite past time moving forward by technology. I dont mind the rig being used in the tourneys i fish. I will always, for my minds sake, enjoy the use of one rod, one lure type of fishing that my grandfather taught me when i was just a kid. I have one that i have used on occasion, but have not mastered it. Plus it really wears out my arm and equipment!
