I'm a huge Loomis fan, that said, if you are getting a loomis, start at the IMX line, minimum. Anything less then that, get you a Falcon Cara...They are nice rods!!!!

falcon lowriders. Also look at st croix avids, great rods in the price range.

falcon cara all the way!!! imx a bit pricier and a little bit more sensitive but overall falcon cara, lowriders if thats what u got the money for but if at all possible hold off til u can get a cara, all around better rod. been using caras since they revamped the cara line about 6 years ago and havent looked back since, u get what u pay for and for customer service has always been fantastic!!! hope this helps, but a loomis is loomis too tho, my bids on falcon cara tho!
