Is a gl2 worth the money or can I buy a falcon low rider and get the same sensitivity and distance
Everyone has a plan till they get hit in the mouth

For the pricepoint of the gl2 I'd think you could get a cara T7 series rod. Comparing those 2 I'd get the falcon.

I would highly recommend looking at St Croix in the Legend Tournament series for a few dollars more . . I have used all 3 btw . . Warranty is the best out there imo too

I have fished a lot of rod brands and have had a lot of custom rods built and Falcon remains one of my favorite rod builders

Don't forget Dobyns .... I have fished them all and have to say that Dobyns is a good rod.
BUT if it has to be between the two, then Falcon has to get the nod.

Personally, I would take the Falcon Cara over a GL2. However, earlier someone mentioned the St. Croix Legend Tournament. I fish the next price tier down - St. Croix Avids. I have both them and the older Caras (with solid cork handles) and I prefer the Avids.

I used to fish a lot of Loomis, until I found Crowder rods. Great rods, great price & unmatched warranty.
