I always go for a limit first. I can usually find a limit of keepers fairly quick but usually not big girls in with them. After I have my limit I head deeper to structure and fish for a fat girl to start culling. I don't feel stressed out if I already have 3 or 5 in the live well.

I just go fishing and rarely catch anything worth while!

I don't know where the Kickers live so I just go for a limit and hope I get lucky!!!

Fish for 5 bites. A limit of bank runners isn't going to win most of the time in East Texas.

i usually use the excuse "i'm fishing for the kicker" when my partner wonders why I am not catching anything....

I try to catch 5 kickers to save time.

I go for a decent limit first if all possible, then go after a big fish. I have caught a kicker fish first thing, and couldn't finish a limit. That's just how it goes for me. 5 fish for a limit with no kicker, or 1 good kicker and can't finish the limit.

I go for the kicker but all I have found lately is the small fish. Guess I need to find a new spot or two.

Limit first! Then look for the big girls. Usually if I find a solid pattern big ones will come.

There isn't a difference between the two for me, I fish the same way and type of stuff all day.

I'm still trying to figure it out myself. Hell if I knew where a kicker was I would probably try for 5 of them and not waste time on the little ones. Stands to reason that obviously most are saying they target a certain area, or upsize their baits, or throw a different bait etc so why not just do that all day instead of fooling with dinks.
