Maybe he figures this is private property and none of my fellow fisherman will take my stuff. Maybe you ought to teach him a lesson. Get into boat disconnect it and put it in his rod box. When he first notices it he will get that sick feeling. Then he will look to see if anything else got stolen check his rod box and booyah there it is. He will scratch his nuts and say I don't remember putting it in there but o well.

The LAST thing I would do is tamper with anything on, in or near anyone's boat.
Joke or not.

Isn't it the police or sheriffs dept job to keep that thing from getting stolen?

Yeah since we have time to watch all the things in the world around the clock. Come on man get serious. If I had seen it I would advise him to lock it up

They're not too smart. If they can afford an HDS10 they can afford insurance or afford another one. You have to be pretty dumb to leave your graphs on the boat. They are valuable, small in size, and easy to remove when on a Ram mount--all very attractive points to thieves.

Crawl if you are doing the right thing what are you afraid will happen? I think that's why criminals are able to do what they want. They have balls to take what they want. On the other hand ppl that are honest are afraid to do the right thing. So what if the owner walks up and ask what are you doing in his boat. You tell him I've seen that 4 thousand dollar toy sitting out in the open for 3 weeks just waiting to be stolen. So you thought you would put it up and if he gets mad then he can be mad. Hour or 2 he will be glad you put it up for him. It's prolly getting stolen right now just because instead of taking action. The person went home and posted it on tff.

So when he spots you climbing on his boat and calls his next door neighbor who's a cop, do you think they'll believe you when you tell them you were taking it off of his boat, that you don't have permission to be on, because you were afraid it would get stolen? That's like getting caught holding a knife while bending over a stabbing victim, and trying to claim that you were pulling the knife out because it looked like it might hurt...
