I was recently given a Calcutta 200B as a "thank you" for doing a friend a favor. I have never owned a round reel, as all of my Shimano's are curado's. I would like to know what technics this reel is best made for, as the 6:1 gear ratio is in between my 7:1's and my 5:1's. Thanks!

I've used Calcutta 250's for years for all types of bass fishing. Worms, spinnerbaits, topwaters, crankbaits, it didn't matter. They just work! It wasn't until recently that I started using my old Curados because my wrists started hurting after hours if fishing.

I have four Calcutta 200B and really like them all. I use them for all types of fishing, worms, carolina rig, crank baits, etc.
