Calcutta 200B - 05/16/13 01:27 PM

I was recently given a Calcutta 200B as a "thank you" for doing a friend a favor. angel I have never owned a round reel, as all of my Shimano's are curado's. I would like to know what technics this reel is best made for, as the 6:1 gear ratio is in between my 7:1's and my 5:1's. Thanks!

It is a very good dependable reel, can be used for any number of baits an techniques. But they do very good deep cranking.

I've used Calcutta 250's for years for all types of bass fishing. Worms, spinnerbaits, topwaters, crankbaits, it didn't matter. They just work! It wasn't until recently that I started using my old Curados because my wrists started hurting after hours if fishing.
